My favorite crispy oven baked chicken wings for any sporting event on a cold day. Eat these as an appetizer or serve them with dinner - these wingettes and drumettes are good either way! Pass the ranch please.
You will love this recipe because it’s never been easier to make these crispy oven baked BBQ chicken wings at home.
My favorite thing to do is place all spices in a gallon zip lock baggie along with the chicken wings and shake them up until the wings are coated.

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees
- Place wingettes and drumettes on a wire rack with a cookie sheet underneath (to collect drippage). If this is not possible, place the wings on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Size of the cookie sheet will vary, I would use a medium/large size cookie sheet if doing this in a regular over. On the other hand, I have been able to squeeze these in my toaster oven before.
- Bake wings for 15 minutes. Flip the wings and let them cook an additional 6 minutes. Lower the oven temperature to 250 degrees and cook for another 20-25 minutes.
- (Optional) Toss wings in your favorite sauce with melted butter +25 calories per serving.
