A great 93 calorie snack you can eat anytime, any day. My favorite way to reheat these delicious bites are to put them in the toaster for 2 minutes. Spinach feta pinwheels are oozing with feta cheesy goodness and baked with an egg wash until golden brown. These spinach feta pinwheels are very similar to spanakopita. Instead of using filo dough, croissant dough is used.
How this recipe came about
I’m always looking for a new recipe to make. Especially with store bought croissant dough. There is something about it that makes appetizer baking so simple. I also use croissant dough in this appetizer: Bacon Apple Brie Bites
The Perfect Pairing
Making a greek themed dinner? Pair this appetizer with my greek pasta salad.

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Squeeze water out of thawed spinach using a few paper towels
- Pinch perforated edges of crescent roll dough together. Using a rolling pin, roll out crescent dough on parchment (or a silicone mat) lined baking sheet until shaped into a nice rectangle.
- In a small bowl, mix together feta, greek yogurt, spinach, onion powder, and salt. Pour and spread mixture onto crescent dough. Roll up crescent dough lengthwise and cut into 9 even pieces. Lay cross section face up. Reshape each piece into pretty circles by flattening the pieces with the palm of your hand.
- Crack an egg into a bowl and whisk with a fork. Using a pastry brush, coat the top of each pinwheel with egg wash.
- Bake in the oven for approximately 20 minutes until golden brown
