Chocolate Chip Cookies
I get a sweet tooth every now and again – these do the trick

Ingredients
- 1 cup softened butter
- 1.5 cups white sugar
- ½ cups brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon maple syrup
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoon hot water
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Cream together the butter, and all sugars until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one by one, then add the vanilla extract.
- Dissolve baking soda into the hot water. Add to batter along with salt.
- Stir in flour and chocolate chips. Drop approximately 2 TB for each cookie onto ungreased pans.
- Bake in the preheated over for about 10 minutes until edges are nicely browned.
