Gone are the days of falling asleep with my make up on. If I do that these days I’m sure to get a pimple. Now days I’m not washing my face once a day but twice a day to put on my morning and nightly face regimens.
Are you currently researching products to start a new routine or just looking into some other products that may be out there? If you are new to the game, I highly recommend reading this article on the correct order of skin care before getting started.
Atlas if you are just here to check out what other people are doing, scroll down below and see what I am doing. Don’t like what you see? Leave a comment below! I would love to hear your feed back. I am not claiming I am an expert here. After all we are all just people trying to find the best products for our faces! And to add to that, all faces are different. For example, my face is very sensitive. What about you?
Morning Routine
Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel
Any website will tell you that cleansers are a must in your skin care arsenal but why exactly? Enzyme cleansers gently exfoliate, help reduce pore size, remove dead skin cells, and aid against acne.
Dickenson’s Enhanced Witch Hazel
Benefits for use of witch hazel as a toner are endless. Plenty of websites recommend it. Not to mention its easy on the wallet.

Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid
For those who have dry skin or struggle to drink daily recommended amounts of water I highly recommend this product. It lasts a very long time as you only use about 4 drops of it per day. I use 2 drops in the morning mixed with the Vitamin C Serum below. Check out my night time routine below to see what else you can use this product for.
Dr. Dennis Gross C+ Collagen Brighten & Firm Vitamin C Serum
This product works so well. I use it in lieu of an eye cream too because I have tried a couple of eye creams and they have been too strong for my skin. There is another product I have my eye on but it is a little out of my price range for now.

Aveeno Clear Complexion Daily Moisturizer
This is one of the only moisturizers I have found that doesn’t cause me to break out! Every moisturizer with sunscreen I have tried makes me break out. Even some moisturizers alone make me break out. This moisturizer has salicylic acid in it to prevent break outs. Just be sure you don’t mix it with retinol. That is why I use it in the day time.
Supergoop Mattescreen Sunscreen SPF 40
This sunscreen has a tan pigment that helps even out my skin tone. It is super light weight and doesn’t feel like I am wearing anything after it dries. It leaves my skin ready for my make up routine! Let me add that, as a person who got their masters degree in chemistry studying sunscreen and a few other things, using a mineral sunscreen (as opposed to a physical sunscreen) is good for both you and the environment. Physical sunscreen has properties that are known as endocrine disrupting compounds (edc) that mimic estrogen. This can be quite confusing for your body and other mammals that may come in contact with the sunscreen.

Night Routine
Neutrogena Oil-Free Makeup Remover
I have been using this makeup remover forever. It is the only makeup remover I have found that doesn’t make my eyes sting! I sometimes wonder what is in other removers that causes the burn. Do you know?
Mario Badescu Enzyme Cleansing Gel
I use the same cleaner in the morning and at night. When I shower I use a facial brush to help exfoliate dead skin cells away. I have read that due to the temperature of shower water, it is best to wash your face at the sink. To try my best to follow this rule I always try to puddle water in my hands while rinsing my face in the shower.
Dickenson’s Enhanced Witch Hazel
I use the same toner in the morning and at night. I really like that this one is alcohol free and enhanced with hydrating properties like Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin E.

Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Booster Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid
Speaking of Hyaluronic acid, I use this product day and night too! I am constantly adding this skin hydrating booster to my moisturizer or retinol. Remember my skin is sensitive so I am only using retinol 1x/week currently. More on that below.
Patchology FlashPatch Restoring NIght Eye Gels
I love these night gels! I use them 1x/week for a “treat yourself” night. They are very soothing and leave my under eyes feeling rejuvenated. I rub excess serum on my forehead and cheeks. I hear that people place them in the fridge for an extra chill but I haven’t tried that yet. Have you?
FAB Skin Lab Retinol Serum for Sensitive Skin
Here is the retinol I use. When I first started using it I messed up big time and started using it daily. My face was peeling. It was not pretty and it did not feel good. My friend came to the rescue with these superactive capsules that soothed my face and got me back to looking normal in no time. Lesson learned. Start small with this stuff and work your way up. I am still only using this 1x/week.

M-61 PowerGlow Exfoliating Facial Peel
These little peels pack a big punch as they say. They smell divine and they exfoliate your skin. For a little extra usage I rub these pads on my face and my chest. Click the links below to view the ingredients and see all of the peels great benefits! I currently use this 1x/week and never on the same night as retinol.

Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream
This is my current night time moisturizer! I was using this but to be honest it made my skin feel pretty oily and I felt that it was causing some break outs. It wasn’t truly right for my skin type but could be right for yours if you have dryer skin. This moisturizer is just right. From what I understand you can use it anytime of day but I chose to use it at night because I love my daily moisturizer.

Babe Lash Eyelash and Brow Enhancer Serum
Oh my goodness. I had the most fun watching my eye lashes grow using this serum. I was wearing magnetic eyelashes until a friend recommended this product. I put a single line on my eye lid like I would to apply liquid eyeliner. This is one product I don’t think I could live without.

Machine Washable Mulberry Silk Pillow Case
Last but not least, I think everyone should have a silk pillow case! They are a great addition to your skincare routine. Silk is naturally hypoallergenic and it helps skin maintain moisture. Mulberry silk is machine washable just make sure you don’t put it in the dryer.
